Reindeer Union

The union is building a list. Like Santa, they are checking it twice!

You better not cross,
you better not try,
you better not sign,
the petition on sly,
Jimbo and his cronies will frown,

They're making a list,
checking it twice,
gonna find out who's petition is ice,
Jimbo and his cronies will frown.

They'll see you when you work hard,
they'll see you cross the line,
they'll see you in your orange T-Shirt,
they'll spread rumors all around,

You better not cross,
you better not try,
you better not sign,
the petition on sly,
Jimbo and his cronies are clowns.

Merry Christmas season all!

Rumor has it they increased dues at 369 Ajo Way! Are they really 2% of income as rumor has it? That's HUGE! Wait a minute...didn't I mention something about that back in August? http://dump933.blogspot.com/2008/08/are-you-willing-to-raise-your-union-tax.html
.
I thought so. If its 2% of Cal Tech pay, tax will be over $1050 a year! Sign the petition! Vote them out! You will be released from this wage garnishment.

Vote the IAM out and you won't have to pay dues again. And most of you won't have jobs either. The company will be able to hire and fire as they see fit. Not to mention that there will be NO reason for the company to even think about wage increases or anything along those lines.

Have a great Union day!

Just what are you scared of? It seems you and your union brothers and sisters are prone to losing jobs. Have you obtained and kept a real job before Raytheon? I'm not talking about McDonalds either. Maybe if you work more instead of griping about the company you would not need your union. Good riddance to this union!

The company can already hire and fire as they see fit....
Too bad about the dues.........
I am glad it is a right to work state.....
Is it a good idea to raise dues during a recession?
LOL!

Anon from Dec 16th @ 9:52am

Was it break time, or are you on PTO?,

Many here aren't paying dues as it is. Feel free to give yourself that pay raise by resigning your union membership today!

Remind us again when the last substantial pay raise was granted to the technical or tradesmen?

Hire and fire as the company desires? THEY RUN THE PLACE; THAT'S THEIR JOB!

I'd bet you didn't know that it takes a MANAGER to actually terminate an hourly employee. Not a supervisor; not a 'superintendent', but a real honest-to-goodness MANAGER.

I'm truly amazed at how much the UNION keeps the sheep in the dark on things like this. Your shepherd is letting you wander way too much.

"It's their job; that's why we pay dues!"

Fire them for services poorly rendered.

Is what's happening to the UAW going to happen to other industrial unions in the coming years?

Some interesting comments posted at the second link as well.

UAW sacrifice or surrender?

UAW sacrifice or surrender comments

Just because the pols think they have have control doesn't mean they'll keep control over the situation. The only reason they continue to exist is due to compulsory unionism in places like Michigan.

One final thought from February of 2001:

Should Michigan Become a Right-to-Work State?

R.I.P. IAM Local 933

Happy Holidays!

“Should Michigan Becoming a Right-To- Work State?” by Mr. Lawrence W. Reed, is informative, factual, and fair. Impressive reading for us at Raytheon who are stuck with a failed outdated union that is holding on because they have always been here!
