Pay me your dues and feel the respect

Come to me my little children, come and recruit more members to pay me for the deeds I do for you. You poor unfortunates deserve better, and only I can deliver the prosperity you deserve. Join me, and pay me your dues, and I will make all of your problems go away. For membership is down. Participation is waning. Leadership is rebelling. My webmaster is delinquent in upkeep of his page. My DBR is in limbo, but you my little polyps can pay me your dues and feel the respect. Come join a committee, be a trustee, become embroiled in the politics of entitlement and envy. The old guard has retired, now the stoic militant remnants whisper the doom of the lodge, the fate of our future is lost to the petitioners who exposed our tricks; to steal wages from the workers; to buy votes of the masses. We stole wages from many to benefit a few, the few who we knew would pay us their due.

No Activity on their Facebook or Twitter accounts either. Sign of failure for any business is Negligence, Inexperience, and Greed. All three traits exhibited by this union.
The Ousties called it and brought it to light. They even added counsel to the union leaders with no results. Guess what? Remember Vinyl records, 8 track, vhs, Blockbuster video?
Well you can add this union to that list. The union hard cores are retired now. The current members are apathetic. There is really no need for this union due to Arizona labor laws that
protect workers. Contract time is coming and now is the time to get rid of this communist bloated money sucking tick.

Who is losing steam faster, this blog or the union?

This blog remains active even though the petition to remove the IAM933 from Raytheon occurred over 4 years ago. That you came here to look is a testament to it's continued relevance. Maybe this blog needs no steam to assist the union in it's own self destruction. Flyers located in shadowboxes throughout the company begging for help, combined with the complete abandonment of routine activities scream out to the people without our help. Everyone knows the union is doomed now, this time by it's own apathy. Even the results of the "Special Election" back in December never were posted. What we have here is a failure to represent!

Hey Louis! Why didn't you get Jimbo his job back as a tester?!

Anonymous said...

Don't think he needs a job. He is very resourceful at using the very social services he promoted during the strike. You remember the strike for respect. LOL! Wonder if he refinanced his home to hold him over during this time. That was a good idea during the strike. NOT!
"Hold the Line!"

The company told us they would work with us as long as Jimbo was not in the picture. They said there are too many incompetent dead weights now, they did not want one more!

What's this I hear about El presidente Leigh secretly giving away your local's money to former dbr Jimbo?

Rumor: the process of dissolving the union and consolidating occupations is beginning.

The first people to take a hit are going to be WIPS and Material Handlers.

This information is coming from someone with ties to manpower, when it was discussed about manpower issues for hourly employees.

Is it time to start looking outside for other opportunities?

Rumor might be true. Heard the same thing. Dusting off resume.

IAM933
Check Off Authorization. Check here: [X] I authorize my employer to deduct from my wages and forward to the union: (1) monthly membership dues on or an equivalent service fee; and (2) any required initiation for reinstatement fee as set forth in the collective bargaining agreement between the Employer and the Union and the bi-laws of the Lodge. This authorization shall be irrevocable for one (1) year or until the termination of the collective bargaining agreement between my employer and the Union, whichever occurs sooner. I agree that this authorization shall be automatically renewed for successive one (1) year periods or until the termination of the collective bargaining agreement, whichever is the lesser, unless I revoke it by giving written notice to my Employer and Union not more than twenty (20) and not less than five (5) days prior to the expiration of the appropriate yearly period or contract term. I expressly agree that this authorization is independent of, and not a quid pro quo, for Union membership, but recognizes the value of the services provided to me by the Union. It shall continue in full force and effect even if I resign my Union membership, except if properly revoked in the manner prescribed above.
It looks like the Employer is not authorized to deduct wages from Union member's paychecks unless they sign a new check-off agreement after each contract terminates!

Take your CEP courses now to find a new job within Raytheon. The Union won't protect your jobs, so you better fend for yourselves. While you are at it, you should ask the Company to shut off your dues check off if this anonymous notice is true. What did YOUR membership application say? How many union militants are going down with the ship?

I couldn't stand it any more! I've submitted paperwork to join the Union!

I think by the end of the year we may find out what it's like to work with out a union. I guess we'll know for sure if you knew what you were talking about or if you are just a company shill.

Gone are the days of union intimidation.
Gone are the days of union marches and chants down 801 hallways.
Gone are the days of union lies and deception.
Hopefully soon gone are the days of IAM933 representation!

hey, so stevie it's probably quite
a blow for you to go from that gravy ADBR job to testing the stick missile.
So they finally figured out there is no need for an assistant.
